ROASTERY CAFE YOGIYO — Restaurant in Otsu

I visited Shiga to see a friend. We visited a temple and on the way from one to another, I realised there is a roastery cafe. The cafe was smallish but very cosy. As we planned to have lunch somewhere else, we shared an apple pie over coffee. Both of us enjoyed coffee and pie. The lady who roasts beans and runs the cafe was really nice and welcoming. I also got 2 bags of coffee beans: Yemen and Haiti as I don't see those beans often. The lady is quite knowledgeable and the best roast level for each bean. One of my favorite coffee shops. I’m friends with the owner, and she’s always so warm and welcoming. It’s small, but a relaxing place to chill. She roasts beans in the shop, so you can get really good coffee to make at home. Her cheesecake, cookies, and pie are also wonderful....
