Tenka Gomen — Restaurant in Otsu

Used google translate to try to read the machine’s menu. This is translated as “toro” with sea noodles - pink tag.

Unsure what it should really say but what I got was VERY fatty slightly charred pork with a thick heavy broth.

Probably some of the best tasting meat and broth I’ve had, but so heavy I could eat only half of it. I wish I had time to try the other options on the menu!

My friend had the chicken-based ramen and it was also very good and lighter - so those with small stomachs should consider...

We had the best Ramen ever at this cute little place. The owner said that they make their own noodles. The broth was fantastic and chilled roasted barley tea was served with it. It is a small place, but not crowded when we went at 4:30. The staff does not speak English and the Google Translate did not communicate what we wanted, which was a vegetarian and a beef so we just picked the first item on the menu and then fished...

Great for late-night ramen cravings! This place got you covered until 11 pm. Super convenient, just a skip from Hotel Koo.

I had the Ebi Miso Ramen—good stuff, though I'd prefer a bit more shrimp kick in the broth.

Char siu? Perfect. Melts in your mouth, smoky goodness.

Firm noodles, dimly lit, kinda cozy. Even around 9 pm, it's buzzing; luckily, snagged a seat quick.
