Doudeshou — Restaurant in Saijo

I don't know where to start, I love this place so much. The staff is friendly, the food is really good, the atmosphere is nice. The regulars here are friendly as well. There's a big projector and a flat screen TV usually playing episodes of the TV show the bar is named for unless there is some big sporting event or other event on TV.

Wednesdays bring half priced beers all night and a few special menu items like gyu rare steak. Some other recommendations of mine are tori-mayo, katsuo-tataki, yaki-buta-tamago-meshi and gobo-chips. I have been here countless times and still haven't found anything that isn't good.

たまたまかもしれませんが、なによりもご飯が出てくるのが遅い…。

来店した日はフライドポテトが注文してから出てくるまでに40分程度かかりました。(隣の方のポテトも同じくらいかかってた。) 他の料理も遅めでした。 来店時に「提供にお時間いただく可能性があります。」と言われはするものの想像以上に待つので覚悟が必要です。

ゆっくり話したい時は、会話メインに少ない料理でお腹いっぱいになれるのでいいかもしれませんが、待つのが好きじゃない方にはあまりお勧めしません。 女子会とかにはいいのかも？

味も特筆することは特になく、可もなく不可もなくという感じです。 量はお値段を見ると少し少なめかなと思います。 お刺身の鯛は美味しかったです。 また、お刺身の醤油を出汁醤油と刺身醤油(甘いやつ)の2種類から選んで食べることができたのは嬉しかった！ おすすめの旨辛鶏皮串には食べる辣油らしきものが乗ってて結構辛いので注意です。
