We stopped at the restaurant around 5:45pm and I went in to check if it was opened for business as the town was quiet. A gentleman greeted me and advised that it’s not crab season yet so they served other sashimi dishes. He also suggested other cooked items for kids. We decided to try and was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the sashimi and soba. Our dinning room window overlooks the seashore and the train station. We’ll definitely come back again and try...

Restaurant operating hours: 11:00am to 2:30pm. Price of Echizen (yellow tag) 越前蟹snow crabs is much higher than Toyama (green tag) and Kanazawa (blue tag) snow crabs. Size of 1-kg Echizen snow crab costs about ¥60,000.

Whenever you are during crab season, you should come to have a meal set.

The fresh taste is only in crab. If you want to have a higher taste level, the vinegar will bring you to paradise.

Really good crab meal, even it’s a little pricey.

三国港駅すぐそばにある蟹料理店。 水槽で生きている名物の越前蟹を新鮮な状態で味わうことができる。 店内の雰囲気も古民家のようでとても良い感じ。 今回は旬である甘海老のてんこ盛り丼とせいこ蟹の甲羅盛りを注文。 甘海老てんこ盛り丼は小鉢も充実しており、だし巻きがとても美味しかった。 そして甘海老はすごい弾力と甘み。 今まで食べたエビ料理でもトップクラス。 そこに一緒に注文した甲羅盛りの身を乗せて食べるのが贅沢すぎる。 濃厚な蟹味噌もプチプチの卵もとても美味しかった。 値段は安くはないが、たまにの贅沢にとてもオススメしたい店。
