They have Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki. You can choose to have soba noodles and udon noodles inside. I got the mixed topping-soba one and it was delicious! The soba made it very filling. They had mustard mayonnaise too which made it taste more interesting. The woman was really nice. She was the only one working and it got busy quickly. We came around 12 on a Sunday and we were able to be seated immediately, but had to wait for her to finish cooking a take out order. More people came in and waited to be seated. It can only seat about 7 guests so it’s probably best to go alone or with just one other person. It’s quite popular among the locals as she received many inquiries about availability.

돗토리현과 시마네현을 여행하며 수산물에 지치던 찰나 구글맵에서 발견한 오코노미야끼집. 11시반 오픈인데 11시에 도착해 기다리니 먼저 들어와 있으라고 하시곤 이내 주문을 받아주셨다.

오코노미야끼는 새우, 오징어, 얇은 삼겹 그리고 소바면이 들어간 메뉴가 가장 인기 있다고 하여 주문. 가격은 900엔. 콜라 200엔도 함께 주문 하였다. 전부 세금포함 1100엔.

요리하며 최근 한국인 관광객도 줄고 비행기편도 점점 줄어들고 있어 안타깝다는 이야기도... 한국인들 사이에서 자신의 가게가 유명하다고 하는데 도대체 왜 유명한지 이유를 모르겠다며 호탕하게 웃으셨다. 마침 8명의 대가족이 방문하여 일본어 통역 좀 해달라고 하셔서 몇 마디 간단하게 전달하였더니 일본어를 굉장히 잘 한다며 오빠 사진좀 찍을께 하던 유쾌한 주인 아주머니.

오코노미야끼는 기름을 적게 사용하여 담백하고 맛났다. 기회가 있다면 다시 온다고 하니 자신이 죽기전에 30년 내로 오라는 말을 마지막으로 유쾌히 웃으며 나왔다. 요나고 공항으로 올 기회가 있다면 꼭...
