My wife and I have been interested in the Danish hygge craze for the past few months so of course we had to come to this place. We arrived just before 3pm and ordered a late lunch.
Gorgeous location. From the window we could see late winter snow in the mountain forest surroundings. Fits the Scandinavian theme. Nice interior design. The owners obviously attempted to replicate Scandinavian aesthetic. Lots of wooden furniture. That being said, the walls were plain white which made the place seem a little too bright to be considered hyggeligt. Perhaps evening would fit the theme better The menu was very standard. Consisting of pasta, curry, salad and meat dishes, the menu is the weakest part of the overall experience. The food is well prepared and fairly priced but there isn't enough variation to set the place apart from other small cafés. Sound track. Another bad point. Playing from the sound system was standard 'english' music. Plenty of disco pop (ABBA) mixed in with acoustic covers of contemporary singles. (I thought I'd heard the end of that bloody 'Frozen' song.) Cute sheep.
Overall, a nice place to eat but it doesn't quite do enough to earn...

For dessert, we tried the lemon and tea pancake. The portion was generous, and luckily we decided to share one. I enjoyed the softness of the pancake and the rich aroma of eggs! ð€€
I recommend this place if you're seeking a nice cafe to unwind in. The interior is beautifully decorated. Free parking is available. While there isnât an English menu, you can easily translated the Japanese menu using Google Translate.
The restaurant has 5-6 tables. If you know Japanese you can make a reservation. Although we didn't reserve this time, we were fortunate to find an available table...
