Soup Curry & Cafe Suage 3 — Restaurant in Sapporo

Lovely restaurant with nice casual, warm ambience. This was the first time to try Soup Curry and it was a very good experience. l really enjoyed the flavour of the soup, fragrant with curry, other herbs and spices, and the soup was a light broth. I could have consumed all the soup however I ran out of rice to accompany it. If you are hungry order larger portion of rice and additional toppings.

I order the Vegetarian Soup Curry with a medium size rice and my wife ordered the Crispy Chicken. We both enjoyed the flavour of the soup, it was level one spiciness with coconut milk added. I chose this because I cannot take spicy however my wife can and she thought she should have at least ordered medium spicy. We also enjoyed our choice of toppings. The veggies were very delicious and special mention about the lotus root (sweet with a natural crunch) and maitake mushrooms (flavour).

It is a bit harder to get to so take a taxi from Maruyama-koen station. We had to wait about 15 mins for a cab when we finished our meal as the location is away from the main streets.

It is worth a try as it introduced me to a new type of food that was created...

Super delicious soup curry in Sapporo!

We simply searched on google to see where was good for lunch after red-leaves watching at Maruyama Koen. This restaurant popped up and we gave a try.

Needed to find for a while but surprisingly the food was super good with fresh veggies and good curry. They even have coconut milk based curry to select and it was as good as the normal one too. Price is reasonable and portion is good for both men and ladies. And atmosphere is good for groups of friends.

Highly recommended if you walk around nearby.

Been there for dinner. I never had soup curry before, but the taste was really good. I had the one with chicken, food comes on sticks in the soup, rice comes on a separate plate. You can choose the spiciness level (I had 4 and it was not spicy), as well as the type of curry (alternative was coconut base), the portion size of the rice, and to the add toppings for some extra money. This shop is a bit far from the center so it was pretty empty when I visited. If you go by car they have a few parking spaces in front and on the left side...
