Doppo — Restaurant in Sasebo

We are from the US and don't speak or read Japanese. Doppo was suggested to us from one of the information booth workers. What a HIT! We were a little confused as to how things worked so I'll try to simplify it. You pick your dish and drink from the vending machine. Pay the machine and take your ticket. Let the guy know how many seats you need. Then you wait. There were only 8 seats in the whole place. In spite of the line we did not wait long. When he summons you give him your tickets. He will seat you and the food will come out shortly. Enjoy! They will serve you water. We also bought a can of beer each at the ordering machine...beer was way at the bottom. We were wanting to split a bowl of ramen but that's not allowed we gathered and ended up ordering a bowl of the pork with white leek and Ramen also. Truly a great...

Appears to be a very local ramen restaurant as we were the only tourists. Soup is quite rich in taste, with a few pieces of thick-sliced pork and noodles that you can choose your own softness. It is a nice little Ramen Shop. It can fit now more than maybe 10 at a time, you pay at the machine before hand placing your order then hand it to the very nice mama-san.
