お好み王国 らんばん — Restaurant in Shingu

One of the best meals on my trip! The restaurant is rather large, on the first floor of a building, very retro in a sweet way with TV programme to match. I don't think English is spoken, but I used a Transplate App to translate the menu, and the owners are super nice and welcoming.

I had grilled tofu and okonomiyaki - simple meals, but full of flavour and wonderful. Such a wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend.

Be aware that if you are vegetarian, even the tofu is dressed with fish flakes, but since everything is prepared fresh in front of you, you can ask for it to be prepared...

Our hiking group had a delicious lunch of mixed seafood/meat pancakes at this restaurant today. We loved seeing our food prepared and interacting with the owners and their daughter! The daughter honored one of our group with a pre-birthday picture with a special birthday frame and birthday glasses....
