i don’t often write reviews but wanted to share an amazing experience i recently had at this restaurant. we arrived in the city relatively late at night and weren’t able to find any good restaurants that are still open, but we were welcomed by a very kind aunty, despite the place looking like it was just closing. the chef was able to make only two dishes as they’ve sold out most items for the day — anago-don or tempura, and both dishes were phenomenal. the anago was very well prepared, not too salty nor too sweet. the shrimp/vegetables tempura platter was the best tempura i’ve had from my Japan trip, and it was seasoned so perfectly. for side dishes we had chawanmushi which was soft like pudding but so flavorful. the aunty and the chef also offered us azuki (red bean) dessert to wrap up our dinner perfectly, and the azuki literally melts in our mouth. we really hit the jackpot that night as the chef told us later it was reservations only, and the meal was totally worth what we paid for. additionally, when the aunty found out one of us was having a back pain from the long drive, she kindly offered us some pain reliever patches which was so nice of her 🙏 we would totally recommend dining at this place for both its wholesome experience and...
