Dai Sushi — Restaurant in Shiogama

Cozy sushi spot with great cost performance. Note they are cash-only, if you need an ATM there is a convenience store a few blocks down the road.

It's easy to find and a quick walk from the Nishi-Shiogama JR station. We sat at the counter, all the staff were super friendly.

Ordered the 上にぎり, the master made each bite beautifully. Came with this super refreshing clam and tofu soup. My favorite was the medium fatty tuna, but I also found the ebi to be a pleasant surprise with its natural sweetness. It was the perfect amount for lunch, thank you for the meal.

Visited this restaurant yesterday with my grandmother and we were both thoroughly impressed by the wonderfully fresh and tasty fish, extremely great service and wholesome atmosphere. 10/10, would recommend if you are in the area or heading back to Sendai from a day trip to Matsushima...
