A very good, creative gnocchi restaurant. If you've got the cravings for gnocchi and are in the area, this place is a great choice!
A married couple runs the restaurant by themselves, but the service was on point and they had zero issues. The place already had two parties seated, one eating and the other just had finished ordering. I was expecting the food to arrive rather slowly because I ordered a pizza and two dishes of gnocchi. Though I was wrong. I got the appetizers, a pizza, and then the gnocchi without much wait. You could definitely enjoy each dish and expect the next dish to arrive at a perfect time.
Their gnocchi was really tasty, while the potato flavor was present. The texture is what you'd expect from good gnocchi; the perfect balance of firmness and chewiness. For the price you pay, the restaurant provides you more than what you normally expect from somewhere that has the same price.
On the other hand, their pizza is rather a...pizza what you get from a bakery. With that said, you can't expect to get something with a great crisp. It's chewy but the crust has that bread aroma that you normally savor at bakaries. Made a random pit stop for lunch on our drive to Nara and so glad we did. The chef calls it his Japanese gnocchi.
