ニョッキのお店 PaPa — Restaurant in Shizuoka

A very good, creative gnocchi restaurant. If you've got the cravings for gnocchi and are in the area, this place is a great choice!

A married couple runs the restaurant by themselves, but the service was on point and they had zero issues. The place already had two parties seated, one eating and the other just had finished ordering. I was expecting the food to arrive rather slowly because I ordered a pizza and two dishes of gnocchi. Though I was wrong. I got the appetizers, a pizza, and then the gnocchi without much wait. You could definitely enjoy each dish and expect the next dish to arrive at a perfect time.

Their gnocchi was really tasty, while the potato flavor was present. The texture is what you'd expect from good gnocchi; the perfect balance of firmness and chewiness. For the price you pay, the restaurant provides you more than what you normally expect from somewhere that has the same price.

On the other hand, their pizza is rather a...pizza what you get from a bakery. With that said, you can't expect to get something with a great crisp. It's chewy but the crust has that bread aroma that you normally savor at bakaries. If you want a bakary-style pizza, you'll enjoy it here, which means don't expect an American-style pizza or an Italian...

Made a random pit stop for lunch on our drive to Nara and so glad we did. The chef calls it his Japanese gnocchi. We ordered the beef ragu gnocchi and the seasonal special chestnut gnocchi in cheese cream sauce. Both were excellent. The gnocchi were like fluffy pillows of potato. His starters were delicious too. 四種の盛り合わせ🎵 好きなものが沢山✨イェーーーーイ✨ キッシュって人を幸せにするよね🎵(//∇//) サラダも野菜たっぷりでドレッシングも美味しいし、しかも自家製鶏ハムときてる… もうちょっと鶏ハムは大きく切ってあると、鶏ハム感が出て嬉しいかな😆

メインのニョッキは、どんな感じか？ ずっと気になってました… モチモチなのか？って思ったら、歯切れの良い感じの、滑らかニョッキでした🎵 これも美味しい✨ソースに良く絡む🎵 お肉も良く煮込まれてて、柔らかい✨

友達の頼んだゴルゴンゾーラ…幸せか❤️ ゴルゴンゾーラ好きの城之内、ソース全部飲めます✨(￣∀￣)

ゴルゴンゾーラソース(友達の)に、自家製のモチモチフォカッチャに付けて食べまくりました✨

オリーブオイルがかかってるので、フォカッチャはそのまま食べても凄く美味しい✨モチモチふわふわがたまらんね🎵
