This is a reply to the owners comment of my review*
first of all. About you saying your store policies are all over social media so everyone should know about the dog and policies are wrong to say. Not everyone looks on your social media. I found your shop from Google Maps and decided to go based on your high rating. Even when I entered the store, I thought this dog was probably trained because what kind of owner of a restaurant would let an untrained dog roam around a restaurant trying to eat the customers' food. Before the food came, the dog was okay i could manage her. When the food was brought out, the dog never stopped trying to eat our food. By that time, it was too late to move tables.
-second. I entered the store with myself and my 2 children, who are 4 and 5 years old. I couldn't understand most things in Japanese, but I could order the food. They explained they had a one drink policy, which I didn't understand because my Japanese is poor. After i ordered the food, my wife entered the store, and they didn't explain any of the rules to her. So after 2 of the dishes got to my table, we almost ate everything, and my daughter asked for water. I noticed they didn't bring any water from the start and after eating the meat which contains salt. (Salt makes you thirsty) we asked for water. The waitress said "HAI," but it never came. So my wife asked 2 more times and every time the waitress said "Hai". Still never came. She asked a 4th time, and then the waitress explained to my wife that it's a 1 drink policy, which I'm ok with. She only brings out water for the kids and no water for the adults. Is it punishment for not knowing it's a 1 drink policy? We humans are thirsty after eating food. It's a 1 drink policy, so either way, the 1 drink will be charged. So why not bring us some water first and then take our drink order. They refused us water. This is the reason why I said to cancel the other order, which were the ribs.
-third. I cancelled the last order because they refused to give us water. I didn't want to stay in a restaurant where they refused customers' water as a punishment for whatever unlogical reasoning they had. The owner got angry and said he couldn't cancel and said he was going to cook the ribs anyway, and I must pay for it. He went back to the kitchen, and even after 40 mins, the ribs still never came. His aura felt very cheap. Like he wanted to punish us for something he didn't like. Punishment was refusing us water and making us pay for ribs that took more than 1.5 hours to make. Keep in mind that we cancelled the order 20 min after the first dish came. Right after, they refused to give us water and felt very uncomfortable. Even in the end, we never saw the ribs.
-fourth. You could have just resolved it by giving us water and then taking our drink order. You came out from the kitchen multiple times, only to argue. Why didn't you just bring water and take our drink order. You just kept telling us we were wrong and blaming us for not knowing policies. And shamed us for not looking at your social media. Even your comments about this post are still shaming us for all the same things. Have you really thought about this situation?
-fifth. After everything was resolved, he tried to make a last cheap remarks. Something like you can leave my store now but sounded more rude in Japanese. And my response was "are you stupid? I'm obviously leaving your shop. Did you think i want to continue eating here?" You should have just left it alone after resolution. Why continue cheap remarks
Food tastes good. Too bad the owner and worker don't have any common sense. Service is so poor. They make excuses for everything and then apologize, which doesn't have any meaning. No action was taken to solve any problems. Blames the customer for everything. Too much pride. Feels like talking to airheaded people.
Come here if you want the owners dog climbing on the table and trying to eat your food.
the dog actually climbed on our table and ate all our leftovers while we explained common sense things...
