I was on the island for only a day and came here twice, first for the delicious keema-style tofu curry with a smoothie and then again for coffee and cake. All were absolutely delicious, and you can taste that it’s made with love! The desserts in Japan can be average, but I was pleasantly surprised with the chocolate cake, and it was a generous serving too! Not to mention, this is a hidden gem for vegans and vegetarians, as it’s all plant based apart from one dessert option that includes eggs, which come from the owner’s very own chickens. Unlike the other cafes on the island, it opens earlier at 10am, so once you organise a bike rental you can enjoy the cafe straight away (especially since the ferry leaves Ishigaki so early).
