Beer Garden — Restaurant in Tanabe

We were staying at an inn up the road and just popped in for a quick beer after our day of hiking. There isn't much going on in Chikatsuyu, so this was such a delightful find. The staff were all so friendly, great English made it extra easy, and the outdoor area was so fun and cozy. We had a couple local beers, but didn't try the cheese although it looked great. Our best experience in Japan!

I admired one of the country's most beautiful and oldest sakura in a unique atmosphere.

We could enjoy many local delicacies and the best cheese I have ever eaten in my life.

Thank you to the staff for their kindness; they were super friendly and nice.

I highly recommend their locally produced goat cheese—absolutely wonderful.

We did not stay at the beer garden, but we came in to find help with our hiking plan. They were closed but amazingly they opened up their facility for us to have drinks and answered all our questions!

Hitomi was terrific! Very hospitable and full of information. She gave us the bus schedule and sorted us out for our next days hike!
