Nakamura Bakery "Nakapan" — Restaurant in Tateyama

Not a chic café. Not a fancy restaurant. Not a fashionable place. But this bakery attracts me to come back again and again. I absolutely love their mum made type fried chicken, so juicy and crispy. The price for a fried chicken set is unbeatable. The portion is small compared to American standard, but quite enough for a light lunch or afternoon tea. Don’t miss the desserts such as macaron and ice cream. All are freshly made with high quality ingredients. The ladies serving are cheerful and efficient. The place is a bit nostalgic but clean and pleasant. Only thing I could complain is that it closed too early. Two weeks ago, though it closed at 4:30pm, last order was 3:30pm. Comfort food, country style, with a comforting ambience created by the wonderful staff of older women who are determined to make everyone happy. Unless you want something hot to eat, pick up donuts, anpan -- sweet beanpaste-filled buns, and other baked goods and tiny sandwiches in the entrance area, Pay for it and find a table in back. Buy hot drinks and hot food at the counter in the back. The tea is better than the coffee, though the espresso isn't bad. The tori no kara'age fried chicken is not bad as an accompaniment to the tiny sandwiches. Ice cream often features local fruit flavors. Parking is also available down the alley behind the restaurant in case the main parking lot is full. Be careful not to drop a tire into the open gutter...

2020/12/26追記 年末年始の営業について 定休日の火曜日と、2021年1月1日がお休みだそうです。 営業時間は、バイパス店は8:30～17:30とのことです。 喫茶部はラストオーダーが16:00、クローズが16:30です。

2020/8/9追記 久々になかぱんカフェの喫茶部に行きました。（コロナ禍で混雑していたので駅前店を利用していました）

客席はひとテーブルおきに「使用不可」となっています。 なので、土日祝の混雑する時間帯は待ち時間が長くなりそうです。

営業時間ですが、喫茶部は平日の15時30分、土日祝は16時頃までがラストオーダーとのことです。

駐車場や店内の混雑を考慮すると、余裕をもったお出かけをおすすめします。 お盆休みは特に激混みかと…。

カツカレー（ルウのみ）はテイクアウトメニューにはなかったようです。

夏のメニューが登場していました✨ あれもこれもいただきなくなりますね😆

喫茶部のラストオーダーは16時30分です。 ホットケーキは１枚から注文できます。 昔ながらの味わいで、メープルでも蜂蜜でもないオリジナルのシロップがおいしいです。 あんみつ類はハーフサイズもあって、お年寄りや少食の人に優しいと思います。 ほんの一部ですが、駅前の本店とメニューが異なっています。

人気のピーナッツクリーム、バタークリームは好みの食パンに塗ってもらえます。（６枚切りにクリーム半々で、とか）

お気に入りを挙げたらキリがないですが、惣菜パンの卵焼きトマトが好きです。早朝なら、クリームパンがおすすめです。 温かくてさらにおいしい❗

素朴な味わいの日本のパン屋さんです。 昔と変わらないところが地元民が押し寄せる理由のひとつだと思います。

追記 ラストオーダーの時間が変わったので修正しました。

喫茶部のメニューには、定番のトーストやサンドイッチの他、カレー（おうちカレータイプは「カレー」、シャバシャバインドタイプは「カリ」）などのご飯ものやスープ（ビーフシチュー、ボルシチ、クラムチャウダー、スープカリ、いずれもさっぱりした味）があります。 個人的にはキーマカレーの上にチーズがたっぷり乗っている「チーズキーマ」がおすすめです。600円しないのに、ミニサラダとミニコーンスープが付いているんです！

他、みなさんおすすめのチキンバスケットはテイクアウトもできますし、チキンのみ1個からでも注文できます。

（2/2追記） おうちカレータイプのカレールウがテイクアウトできるようになっていました！ ノーマルタイプの「オニオン」、素揚げした野菜がトッピングされている「ベジカレー」、エビフライトッピングの「エビカレー」（カツカレーがあるか定かではないので、次回訪ねた時に確認します） ライス付きももちろんあります。
