This place is a bit expensive (unavoidable given their location in Lumine) but the taste is authentic. The broth is delicious and reminds me of all my favorite restaurants in San Gabriel Valley. Portion sizes might be a bit small for voracious eaters, but it's the perfect size for those with smaller stomachs (aka those used to Japanese portion sizes). The customers are 80-90% women, and quite a few are single diners. Due to the cramped layout, I wouldn't recommend it for groups larger than 4 people.
I've been here several times, both with and without my Vietnamese friends and other foreigners, and have yet to experience any bad customer service, so I have no idea what other people are complaining about there. However, during the lunch rush you may have to wait to even flag down a waiter to give them your order.
