龍進 — Restaurant in Tokyo

A neighborhood eatery serving Japanese-style Chinese cuisine run by an elderly couple. Visited this place by walking from the nearby Showa Memorial park.

There are lunch sets for 800JPY, but I opted for the stir fried vegetables and rice set (with soup and pickles, not pictured) for 750 JPY. Nothing special - it was a simple soy-sauce fry-up, not exactly flavorsome or having wok hei, and and certain bits of the vegetables were not fresh. However, the portion of fiber was generous - and the nice lady gave me an orange at the end too. The place is also quite smoky too - from the wok activity and close quarters - so do be prepared to have it in your clothes.

No English is spoken or written here (as with anything that's not touristy!) - but if you can read/speak basic Japanese, or Google Translate - you'll do fine - and have a nice authentic experience in a quiet suburban neighborhood!

Edit: Just found out that this place is pretty close to the American village - so give that a visit? Didn’t see any US...
