I stumbled upon Tokyo Coffee Consultancy on a rainy Wednesday when my usual spot was closed, and I’m so glad I did. This café has an undeniable charm, with a chill, intimate atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

The real highlight? The incredible jazz collection. Every track played felt perfectly curated, adding to the warmth of the space. The master here is more than just a barista—he’s a fantastic counselor, someone who listens with genuine interest and makes every visitor feel at home. It’s easy to see why this local institution has such staying power.

店主の接客は馴れ馴れしい関西弁でのタメ口が不快でした。マイルールを押しつける一昔前に流行った？勘違いラーメン屋のような態度は、昨今では絶滅した類かと思っていましたが、住宅街の片隅に往生際悪く生き残っていたようです。 食べ物に関しては持込み可だから近所のスーパーにでも行って買ってくればいい、という飲食店として舐めた提供スタイルにも関わらず、今時の一般的な店のサービスやホスピタリティの傾向を知らずに全飲食店を代表するかのような持論を、聞いてもいないのに一方的に捲し立て始めた時は、無知ゆえの言動とは思いつつ呆れて失笑ものでした。 お冷が生ぬるくて気持ち悪かったのも原因の一つでしたが、そもそも客商売以前に、初対面の相手に対して高圧的な態度をとるのは人として問題がありですね。思い上がりも甚だしい正に昭和の遺物といった感じでした。 しかも、接客サービスになんの付加価値も見いだせずに、不快な思いをしただけにもかかわらず、メニュー料金とは別に、半ば強制的にチップを徴収するという悪趣味な料金システムらしいので、退店後も余計に気分が悪くなります。 評価が異常に高いのはこのあたりにまともなカフェが乏しいからだけのような気がしますが、わざわざこの店を目的に行こうと思う店では無いですね。 ゆったりとした寛ぎの時を過ごしたいのであれば、関わりにならないほうが賢明です。 あと資格の標榜も無しにカウンセラーを自称するのは烏滸がましさに...
