Fancy, high end coffee from the specialty coffee brand Maruyama Coffee. It’s nice to see Maruyama goes for a Hamadayama spot and branches out of the more affluent neigbourhoods. This is really good coffee, yes, and the pastries are also top notch, no doubt. I tried the Apple-Tea pastry and it was quite amazing - original, fresh, interesting combination of flavors. The place is has the staple minimalist design for third-wave coffee joints, and with every cup you get your unique tableware set from the cupboard. All of these immediately gives you the sense that this is a place on another, higher plain of design, taste and service.
However, as expected, prices are high, starting form 500 yen for a cup of coffee and around the same for pastries. The place also serves sandwiches and salads that hover around the 1200-1500 mark.
