Cafe Buena Vista/カフェブエナビスタ — Restaurant in Tokyo

Came here with my 9yo daughter and two dogs, a poodle and a Labrador, on a Saturday morning around 10:30am.

This area has been lacking a coffee shop for years, and now there are two within a few minutes walk of each other. That’s progress!

Cafe Buena Vista offers the longer operating hours, from 8am to 8pm, which is excellent. There is shaded seating for two outside, and several tables inside. A leash hook is provided on the large table at the rear.

The gentleman who served us is super friendly and was playing a selection of 90s pop songs which was very “natsukashi”!

The food and drinks were both great. He recommended the hand drip iced coffee, which was delicious. I also ordered a banana shake and apple juice, both also great.

For food I had the “original dog” which comes with a generous helping of pickle relish, served in a high-quality bun. My daughter had the toast, which was a thick slice of quality white bread and butter, plus a side of maple syrup.

The shop also offer dog treats. I bought the chicken ones and my daughter seemed to enjoy them more than the dogs! (They’re fine for human consumption too). Our server also gave us complimentary dog-friendly cookies, which was a welcome gesture.

Overall, excellent. I hope locals show support and appreciation for this much needed addition to the Soshigaya...
