CAT HOME GARDEN — Restaurant in Tokyo

I wouldn't exactly call this place a "cafe," since it's actually a shelter that happens to sell drinks. This is a non-profit organization, and all proceeds go towards the care of the cats. The cats kept there are all available for adoption. Only one party is allowed in the cat area at one time (you must have socks, so remember to wear or bring them), and the time is limited to 30 minutes.

First, you order your drinks and pay. If another party is in the cat room, then you can sit on the bench and watch from the window. When it is your turn, you will be guided to enter the room and the staff will introduce you to the cats. From there, you're free to roam around and play with the cats. There were 3 when we went, but one (the most playful one) had to remain in the cage the entire time, so that was a little of a bummer. I think holding the cats is generally discouraged, but if you ask the staff, they might let you. After your time is up, they'll prepare your drinks for you to enjoy (while the next party enters the cat room).

It's a lot less of an "experience" than other cat cafes, so don't expect it to be full of cats jumping around where you can hold and feed them. It's very mellow, but peaceful. Also the coffee is...

初めての利用でした。 猫を見れるカフェスペースと、猫と戯れるお部屋が分かれています。 スタッフさんは3人いらっしゃって、まず料金をお支払いします。ドリンクについてはワンドリンク制ではなく、頼まなくても大丈夫だそうです。ただ、猫がいるお部屋は1組ずつの案内なので、待ち時間にドリンクを飲むのがいいと思いました。ドリンクは300〜500円でした。

猫のお部屋の料金は20分500円で、あっという間でしたが、利用した後もカフェスペースで眺めることはできるので、満足しました。 ハートくんとパンサーくんの2匹が居て、ハートくんは触っても大丈夫な人慣れしたハチワレくんで、パンサーくんはクールでスラッとしたかっこいい黒猫くんでした🐱

清潔感があり、コーヒーも美味しかったです。

私が訪問したときは黒白のハチワレと黒猫が居てふたりともフレンドリーに近づいてきてくれました。 ボランティアさんが大事にお世話していて、猫から人間への信頼があることがうかがえました。 たまたま１人で貸し切り状態だったので、とても満喫できました。

喫茶ブースでオーナーさんがたくさん話かけてくれたのが嬉しかった反面、自分は人見知りなので少し負担に感じてしまいました。すみません…。
