Chisou — Restaurant in Tokyo

The food was half mediocre, half bad. There was a piece of shell in the uni, so the preparation leaves a lot to be desired as well. Bottom line : not a single dish made up for the rest, to any extent.

The service acts as if it were their first day : accepting the order only to come back and say the cooks are unwilling to cook two different dishes so we have to choose one for both, dropping stuff, not giving us chopsticks at all, not giving us spoons for chawanmushi. The place was half empty (now I know why), so it wasn't because of a lack of time. Also, drinks are a compulsory part of the order even though they try to serve kaiseki.

The atmosphere is pleasant in terms of lighting and the music, but the illusory separation of the space leads to people being very noisy, which gets uncomfortable.

Over the 4 months in Japan, this was one of the three worst...

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese eating experience, this is an excellent option. They have course options or you can go a la carte. The sashimi and tempura were the standouts for the meal, but the fried fish salad and grilled fish were also excellent. The service was attentive and the staff was friendly. Prices were decent too. I’d like to come back and try one of the courses....

①開店1分前に入店すると店内までのちょっとした廊下?通路?に大きなゴミ袋があった 角があるので気づいてないかもと思い言うと「今から開店なので〜」と言われめ驚いた(暖簾をくぐったのでもう店内だし1分前！ ②最後の釜飯がとても美味しくて「おかわりもありますし食べきれなければお結びにしてお持ち帰りもできます」にワクワクしていたがおかわりもお結びもなく終了 トイレに行った時に他の席は釜ごと席にあったので個室の私達はシェアされたんだろうと思う あと①と同じ方が対応したので嫌がらせかも？

支払い額のまあまあする店でこのような事になるのは働いてる方の変な勘違いなのかなと 自分が客としてまぁまぁの金額と時間を使い店に行った事はなく、ここで働いているという謎のプライド 一時帰国の友達が美味しい和食を食べたいと予約して行ったのに始めと終わりに嫌な思いをした事がとても残念 この店を思い出す時に①と②なのも残念
