coffee & baked LOCASA — Restaurant in Tokyo

Caffe Locasa was a delightful find, located next to Roka Koen, a great place to stop after a morning walk through the park. The Soy Latte was the best I've had since coming to Japan a couple months ago. You can tell the coffee beans used are of high quality and the barista knows how to pull quality shots. My wife's ice latte came in a glass, not plastic, cup. It's evident the owner cares about coffee and details. The atmosphere inside is cozy but roomy, not overly crowded.

I've struggled to find the this level of coffee and this is the first I've found in a shop open before 10am; the cafe opens at 7am. At that time you are mostly limited to large chains, Starbucks, Doutor et al.

Although we didn't eat, the food menu looks on par with the coffee. I'd love to see some plant-based...

Cute place. Surpassingly not very crowded even on the weekend (or maybe it's because it is still new and not very well known). The carrot cake was delicious, loved the spices and the frosting. Lemon chai cake was more on the lemon zest side but also good. By the way, both cakes were gluten free. I also like the oat milk latte. Loved the smooth foam. However, I would prefer if it was a little warmer. They also have morning and lunch options. And they are pet-friendly (and friendly in general). It’s a small but cozy coffee shop. I just love its overall aesthetic. My husband and I ordered the Mexican breakfast, Cuban sandwich, and iced chai. Tastewise the food was good but the drink was mid.
