This is probably the closest thing in Tokyo that you'll get to a traditional British pie and mash shop (a Dickensian London phenomenon that is dying these days).

The place is hard to find - look up and you'll see it on the 1st floor (or 2nd floor, as they call it here). Stairs are to the right of the building. There's a small chalk board with the name "dish". Go up and you'll see a covered outdoors smoking area on the balcony. Go inside and you'll find decor reminiscent of a 1970s youth club.

The liquor (yes, that's what the green sauce is called) seemed about right. The pie crust was spot on, but the contents weren't quite authentic yet (liquid poured out, while the dark meat inside remained). Great selection of pasta and meat pies. Very unlikely combination of specialties but both the traditional meat pie and spaghetti pomodoro we shared were absolutely delicious!
