Govinda's — Restaurant in Tokyo

We went for lunch. We ordered one Dosa and one buffet course. Food quality was not good at all. First buffet review, Honestly speaking it was worst experience, as salad in buffet was leftover (it could be clearly seen that wilted veggies are not fresh). also other items in buffet menu were not so tasty, specially for price of 1650, though Naan and Papad were good.

My wife ordered Simple Dosa, she complained the same that Dosa has weird taste and smell, i tasted and felt the same. I tried sambar and it has no pleasant taste. Dosa was freshly made, but I think there was wrong with batter. We finished the lunch, and as soon as we reached home, my wife had a stomach ache and vomiting. I am sure, the food/raw materials were left over.

There are items from you get weird smell (in my case for example, Lassi curd, mango pulp) as other reviews are also stating the same. Also, staff stares at you weirdly. Very uncomfortable when you are with your family.

Worst experience even in my life time , owner himself do not wear mask , No one greeted us or shown us to which seat we should sat on Owner was serving water and food without mask on and the whole time he was talking to someone on the call with a very loud voice

While I was eating , the whole staff of the restaurant started having there own lunch ( and I checked the lunch time of the restaurant was 1 hour later )

I needed. A refill of water but my manners says never to disturb a person while he is eating his/her meal. So I didn’t asked even asked for it , stayed thirsty I travelled in train for 2 hour 20 min just to try out that restaurant

Is was a total waste of serving delicious food with such hospitality

I hope these things changes , but I have decided never to visit again . That’s the reason the restaurant was empty . When I reached there . There’s no option to give minus...

It was my first time in Govinda’s. Being next to ISKCON Temple, I thought that it would be good and hygienic. The restaurant has a weird vibe, staff doesn’t seem very professional, the food served in buffet was not good in taste neither it seemed fresh as just after an hour of eating there, I’ve started having stomach ache and felt nauseous. It was certainly cooked one or two days ago, and tasted sour. Moreover, I saw one of the staff members eating something with hands while cooking, from the kitchen window’s pane. He didn’t stop there and when he saw that I was looking at him, he started staring at me and continued eating. I had a pathetic experience there and won’t recommend it to anyone. Paying 1650 yen for such food and ambiance is certainly not...
