J.S. Burgers Cafe LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi — Restaurant in Tokyo

It was the best burger I've had in Japan. I'm from the US, and have been to hundreds of burger joints across the country. I would rank this place in the top 5 I have ever had anywhere. I've been in Japan for a while and have resigned to the belief that they just can't pull off a top tier burger. That was until I tried J.S. Even more surprising was that this was in a mall location. It has been about a week since I ate here, and while I'm writing this review, I find my mouth salivating and my body urging me to go back. I have a strong belief fries make up a decent percent of my ability to enjoy a burger . J.S. did not disappoint there either. While not the best fries I've ever had, these were certainly good enough to make me want to buy more. They were slightly skinnier than McDonalds fries, but with more of a crunch and definitely had a better flavor.

If you, like me, used to think Japan could not produce a classic amazing American burger, I urge you to come here and give J.S. a shot.

It was busy and had horrible service. I ordered to go to avoid the lines and when I got my meal, half of it was missing so I went back and got the other half. While I was there I asked them to double check the burger to make sure it was correct. They said they checked it and confirmed it as a grilled mushroom burger with jalapeños. It was what I ordered. I got home to find a very soggy and wrong burger. I got some random burger. I’m so angry that the staff couldn’t do their job right the first time and the lied to me the second time. A lot of the staff was laughing about the messed up order while I waited. Unprofessional. I spoke Japanese with them the whole time so I know there wasn’t a miscommunication, it was laziness. I went there for lunch and ordered a burger, fries, and mocha coffee. The burger was okay, it was juicy, but it lacked flavor. I believe their house sauce is pepper mayonnaise, which is actually really good. Your meal comes with a salad bar, which is a very small section with lettuce, broccoli, etc. the lemon based dressing is amazing! Their fries are super thin and crispy, which I enjoyed. Their mocha coffee was delicious! Even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the burger that I ordered, I am looking forward to going back to try something else.
