I'm a little hesitant to share this gem with the world, but here goes – my local Michelin-recognized ramen spot that thankfully hasn't been swamped by tourists yet. It feels like sharing a well-kept secret.
The ramen here is truly exceptional – each bowl is a deep dive into rich, complex flavors, and surprisingly, it won’t break the bank. They serve a Chinese soba-style ramen that's a rare find in the Jiyugaoka area, and it’s absolutely my favorite. There's something special about being the first through the door when they open; grabbing a seat and savoring my ramen in quiet bliss is the best part of my day.
Yes, they might have parted ways with their Michelin star after many proud years (the awards are still proudly displayed!), but selfishly, I'm somewhat relieved. It means more quiet, delicious ramen moments for me. If you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and drop by. Just don’t tell too many people; let’s keep this our...

Looks like a dive on the outside but really modern minimal interior. This place previously won many Michelin stars 🌟years ago. You order from a machine, there's English. We tried the spicy ¥1200 and the regular ¥1000. Both come with 2 thin pieces of char siu 🥩, micro greens 🥬 and pieces of bamboo shoots 🎍. I think the regular is better! The noodles are firm and the broth is crazy flavorful. I wish the char siu was thicker.
I saw other people order the side rice dishes. Seemed to be popular.

Read moreVery nice Ramen place - although I have to say I like the dark and narrow ramen spots where you really see the chef(s) doing their job even better. Broth was a bit oily, but very decent taste. The fresh herbs did not only look good, but added a very nice aroma. Definitely worth a try!! However, having had tons of Ramen, I have to say: you do not need a Michelin recommendation. Every individually run Ramen shop tastes differently, and some will just 100% hit your palate. Not necessarily the...
