nova — Restaurant in Tokyo

I stumbled across this cafe while looking for DRIP cafe, which is located just above this new cafe/bar. I found out later that they are under the same ownership.

NOVA sits just right under DRIP and it has such an aesthetically pleasing exterior and interior, I assume the owner must have a architecture or Interior design background. The DRIP logo design speaks for itself.

The interior is very cozy with shape bar table that lets you see what the chef & staff are cooking/baking. Although my Japanese is trash, the staff were kind. One of the staff who was making a new batch of muffins was friendly enough to explain to me what she was making. At first I came here just coffee but the smell of the freshly baked Hojicha Muffin looked amazing and I had to order one.

Everything was excellent! The coffee was nice and smooth and it paired extremely well with the muffin (which was lightly sweetened). Hope to visit again...

We stumbled across this place on our walk and decided to enter. It's expensive and the staff were rude. Felt like we were discriminated because we were tourist.
