This is pretty much the only great drinking place in Jiyugaoka area. Sure, there are couple of classic bars here and there, but where else you can get served actually nice cocktail with good food until 5am? Nowhere, probably including Shibuya and Shinjuku...
The place has a chill, sort of a mix of a pub and an American bar, vibe, and if you look at it from the street, what immediately attracts attention is an open terrace on the 2nd floor. Quite a rarity for any Japanese establishment. Bartender and master is as cool as his place, serving both classic and quirky, weird cocktails. He also happens to be a certified sommelier, has vast tequila and beer knowledge, so you can be assured that you are getting Ginza quality without the Ginza demeanor. On top of that, bar has excellent food, everything is prepared from fresh ingredients and on the spot, and you can quite see that staff is very proud of this point.
It is a very local place, - at times seems like everybody somehow knows each other. But if you live in the area or just happen to be around, I think it’s one of these rare, actually good places in Jiyugaoka that are worth spending...
