Sizzul Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Tokyo

I happened to pass by this place while walking back to Sakuradai, and the nice front entrance with the promise of seafood drew me in.

The staff were very inviting and could understand my broken Japanese/English mix speaking. I ordered a beer from the menu (sorry I forgot which one) and it was one of best I’ve tasted in a while.

I was born in Louisiana USA🇺🇸, home to some of the best seafood on the planet. Therefore I am a huge critic of seafood dishes. I have to say that the garlic shrimp was some of the best I’ve tasted, and that includes in Louisiana. It was awesome! Sorry, I couldn’t get a better picture because I ate it all.

I’m not a fan of raw oysters, and so I ordered this one cooked, and it was simply awesome.

I had a chat with the staff. They were very enthusiastic about their cooking. When I told them that I was from Texas USA, the chef immediately knew that Texas was known for the best BBQ in the USA. I felt honored. He gave me a sample of homemade BBQ sauce to try. I have to say, as a Texan, that sauce was absolutely amazing. I wonder if I can buy some for my BBQ🤣

I will definitely come here again on my way back from...

The best dessert that I have...

去年、ここでディナーした友人と再訪。 前回食べた時にどの料理も美味しくて、楽しみにしてきました。 前回同様にアボカドのタルタルとイカ墨のパエリアを注文。 いかのフリットと本日のおすすめでもあった魚介のアヒージョを注文。

アボカドのタルタルは安定の美味しさ♫ そしていかのフリットもいかがとても柔らかかったです。 魚介のアヒージョは……なんかパサついたお魚がメインで入っており、イマイチでした💦 アヒージョなのでオイルとの相性が一見良さそうですけど、魚のパサつきの方が気になってしまい、前回食べたエビのアヒージョにすれば良かったと後悔しました。 あと本当に残念だったのは、イカ墨のパエリア。食べた瞬間に友人と顔を見合わせてしまいました。友人も同様に感じてたみたいです。 前回、本当にイカ墨のパエリアが美味しかったのですが、今回はベチョベチョした感じになってて、パエリアよりもリゾット？みたいな。でも味も染み込んでない感もあって中途半端な感じに………。 アヒージョみたく、頼んだメニューが違くてイマイチならまだしも、前回来た時と同様のメニューを頼んで、味が落ちてるのは残念です。作る人変わったのかな？

でも、タルタルは美味しかったしフリットも美味しかったので...
