美味しくもないしマズくもない、ただカロリーを補給するという目的のために作られたような料理と感じる。 それから1年くらい経つとたまにはいいかと思ってまた食べるのだけど、やはり同じ印象。 やはり天ぷらは揚げたてで食べてこその料理だと思うので、手軽に揚げたてを食べられるという意味でありがたいはずのお店なんだけど、なぜかなんの感動もない。 最近とあるスーパー銭湯で天ぷら盛り合わせを食し、まさにプリプリとした食感のエビ天、ジューシーなナス天など、ああやっぱり天ぷらって美味しいなあと大満足できたのですが、その記憶も鮮やかなうちにてんやで食べると、あれー？なんだろうやっぱりマズくはないけど美味しくもない・・・。 スーパー銭湯の食堂に腕のいい職人が居るとも思えないので、オペレーションの差ではないと思う。 てんやのほうが値段的には安いので、食材の品質差なのかもしれないけど、魚介のみならずきのこや野菜でも同じように感動のない味なので、油か衣の違いのような気がするのだけど、なにが違うのかはっきりとはわからない。 それなりにお客さんは入っているので、これで満足できる人も居るのだろうし、そういう人にとってはコスパのいいお店だと思う。 そもそも自分はそれほど味にうるさいという自覚はなく、コンビニのお弁当で衣がふやけた天丼をチンして食べてもそれなりに美味しいと感じる程度には味に寛容なはずなのだ。 それなのになぜ、てんやの天丼に対してこれほど無感動なのか？ けっきょく自分で...
