Yakitori Hige — Restaurant in Tokyo

This my favorite restaurant/bar in the world! The yakitori, and all menu items are traditional Japanese and excellent! The service is great, and owner is calm and friendly. Since it is very close to the ICU campus entrance I used to go there when I was a college student with my college karate club friends. It’s also the place I went on my first date with my wife….46 years ago. My wife and I went to hige several times last summer again and it’s still the same old awesome place! We both truly love Hige! 《昭和の焼き鳥屋》さん。それ以外に形容の言葉を思いつきませんが、令和の今となってはそれが《褒め言葉》なのではないだろうか。落ち着きます。

◎焼き鳥110円×5本。税込 ◎モツ煮込み490円。 ◎ビール小ジョッキ400円。 計1440円。

他ではあまり《良くない評価》を書いている方もいましたが私は舌が肥えていないので…。どんなネタかお構いなしに5本まとめて「タレですか、塩ですか？」

確かにこれは《昭和》の対応かも知れませんね。今風の店だと、ネタによって適した味付けをしたりする。でもここはまとめて《タレor塩》。

雰囲気は抜群。らんぷが暖色系で、店内を撮ると懐かしい色になります。開店して間もなく入りましたが常連らしき男性が1人だけ。静かでした。

《モツ煮込み》も手間暇かけて用意してくれました。たっぷりの《ネギ》が嬉しいね。もし家か職場の近くにあさったら、時々寄るんだけどな。
