ぷらっと食堂 — Restaurant in Tomakomai

The Sea Station Plat Seaport Market in Tomakomai is a place you can buy seasonal fruits, raw fish, plus a few restaurants where you can enjoy japanese don at a reasonable price. Among which this restaurant puratto shokudou is famous for its varieties of don. We visit during a weekday morning for brunch. Tried the famous hokki(北寄貝) sashimi, scallop tuna don, and a red seaurchin(bafununi馬糞海膽) don which I specially requested. The bafununi don costs 5000yen, which I think is at a reasonable price. ニシン漬け丼¥1300 隣の建物にあるぷらっと寿司で食べた。 関東の人間からすると、ニシンを刺身や寿司にして食べるのは珍しい体験。新鮮なニシンは少し小骨が多いけど、アジのような味とハリのある食感で美味かった。寿司屋の海鮮丼らしく、丼ぶりの米からしっかり美味しく酢飯の加減も絶妙。ヅケのタレに少し足されたかつお節ととびっこの食感を加えられているのも寿司職人らしい細やかな気遣いと手前で、丼物とはいえ流石の仕事振りだと関心しました。 きっと握りのお寿司も美味いんだろうと思わせるお店。
