POSILLIPO CUCINA MERIDIONALE Mediterranean southern Italian cuisine and cruise ship ambiance in Okinawa - minutes from the airport! Further up the hill on the Mediterranean Greek-style white-washed terraces of Umikaji Terrace, minutes away from Okinawa's Naha Domestic and International Airports by free shuttle bus or taxi, is a must-try southern Italian eatery, the Posillipo Cucina Meridionale restaurant, where one can have trattoria or ristorante dishes, reasonably price - from Sicilian olives, parma, calamari, trippa, risotto, pizza, pasta, panini, grills to full course dishes. For a tasting, I'd recommend the antipasto misto (piccolo JPY 1,200, 3 to share or grande, JPY 1,800, 5 persons to share). Wash the delicacies down with a huge variety of beers, wines and cocktails. Our favorites include Corona, Bass Ale, Blue Moon or Okinawa's Orion Draft. You can have wine by the glass, by the carafe or full bottles, and spend form JPY 500 to JPY 15,000. The rooftop bar "Mare" completes the Med experience on a cruise ship! It has a bar counter shaped like a Venetian row boat, cruise ship rails, even deck chairs! And ah, the ocean breeze!

Our 1st meal in Okinawa!!! Headed straight to Posillipo after we arrived in Naha Airport!! The food is really delicious and the staff is nice although his English is not really good. At first we mistaken the menu so we ordered a lot more than 2 girls can take so the staff tried to inform us that we ordered too much, but his English is not good so we took some time trying to understand what he is trying to say. Fortunately, we cancelled 2 dishes and had a great lunch!! Indeed the dishes that we ordered is enough after we cancelled the other 2. Thanks for the staff! :) Recommend the pizza, salad, dessert..ummm almost everything is good! Ohh we didn't get to see the airplanes depart and landing due to the rainy cloudy weather but the whole atmosphere is still good. Enjoy your time when you have the chance to visit Posillipo! :)

Transport yourself to the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean at this exceptional restaurant! Every dish is a celebration of Mediterranean flavors infused with authentic Italian flair topped with japanese influence. From the vibrant salads bursting with freshness to the aromatic pastas and wood-fired pizzas, each bite is a tantalizing homage to the richness of both cuisines. The warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with impeccable service and amazing Naha airport views, creates an atmosphere where every meal feels like a cherished gathering among friends. Whether savoring the seafood delicacies, relishing the traditional pasta dishes, or endulging on a perfectly cooked A5 Wagyu steak, dining here is an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of Mediterranean, Italian, and Japanese culinary excellence."

Owned and operated by the same guys who run the famous Rigoletto in Roppongi Hills. Price is friendly and the food is “great”. The staff is very well trained. This is a great chain. I highly recommend the 3F rooftop area when it’s open during the summer months. Beautiful scenery, however do keep in mind it’s adjacent to the Self Defense Force’s airfield and the main airport. It is seriously loud with air traffic. Ordered the Squid Fritter, Meat sauce pasta and their pizza. The food is solid. It won’t win any awards but it is great. It is tightly run, well designed and presented. Also a great place to throw a party if you can arrange it.

Restaurant had a very fancy feel with a priceless view. They had a range of food from 1,000 yen to 10,000 yen. We had the swordfish, ravioli, margarita pizza and brocetta as the app. All was very good and plated great. I wish the sword fish came with a starch or vegetable bit for the price it was great. The creame brulee was made perfect with a golden brown crunchy top. We also ate the tiramisu and that had a very strong taste of coffee(I think). It was great once we could figure out the coffee part. They do offer course meals and holiday event meals Parking is down the hill. Need to walk 5 mins. View of the airport was cool

Wonderful dinner experience over this restaurant, delicious meal with superb view from the restaurant for a beautiful sunset despite it was quite windy that day, but the sunset with the airplane landing was special! The AGU pork was my favorite and the pizza has the woody fragrance and surprisingly juicy for the margarita pizza! Adding a bottle of red wine with our meal, there are variety of red wine to choose from many parts of Italy depends on your own preferences!
