What a lovely hidden treasure nestled in the historical town of Tondabayashi! This house has been here since Edo Japan when it was a rice wholesaler, and has since become a restaurant. I had the Obanzai, a Kyoto vegetable specialty, and it was just so delicious, complex, and savory! The owner is very friendly and full of life. This bring back memories of growing up and eating homecooked meals in the neighborhood.

大阪府富田林市近鉄南大阪線富田林駅下車徒歩6分。寺内町にある古民家カフェゆうぷく。江戸末期160年の古民家を借りて、営業している。ささみと野菜の天ぷら丼とおばんざいの料理をいただいた。ちなみに店名のゆうぷくは、漢字にすると有福だそうだ。ゆうふくとするところを、ぷくと可愛くしたそうだ。料理はランチにすると、2,000円と少し高く感じるが、注文を受けてからひとつひとつ作ってるみたいで、出てくるまでに少々待った。メインのささみのフライは、非常識なほど大きくボリュームがある。ある程度食べたら、徳利に入ったお出汁を注いで味変させる。周りのおばんざいも、それぞれ凝っていて、いろんな味と食感が楽しめる。この店だけでなく、辺りが古い街並みで、散策すると、昭和レトロを満喫できる。

富田林の寺内町にあり、古民家がとても街に似合うのだ店内に入り靴を脱いで座敷に上がると、特にカフェ用には改装されてないが、色々な小物が雰囲気を出しているコロナ禍ということもあってか換気がよく、冬のシーズンはストーブがあっても足元は冷たいと言うことで、おでん定食を注文したとても良く煮込まれているので、柔らかく味が良く染み込んでいる他の席の人からハンバーグのソースが美味しいとの声が聞こえてきたので、次回はハンバーグ定食を食べに訪れたい

Cute little cafe in an old Japanese house. The owner is very lovely and did her utmost to cater to our dietary requests. Very little English is spoken and we don't speak Japanese, but another guest translated for us. Delicious food at a reasonable price, and the atmosphere is warm, cozy and welcoming. We left with a full belly and a smile...
