After living in Italy for four years and now calling Japan home, I’ve been on a mission to find good pizza, and I can finally say, I found it.
Walking into 14-54 felt like stepping into a thoughtfully curated space, every detail seemed intentional, layered with warmth and charm. The atmosphere had this effortless elegance: big wooden tables that invite conversation, artfully mismatched chairs that tell their own story, and soft couches tucked into cozy corners. The rustic wood tones and ambient lighting gave the entire space a timeless, lived-in beauty, like a blend between a European café and an artist’s studio. It didn’t just feel like a restaurant; it felt like a place meant to be experienced.
We started with the bruschetta, and it was perfection. The tomatoes were seasoned beautifully, the bread had that golden crunch, and each bite was fresh and full of flavor. Then came the pizza, and honestly… I was blown away.
We ordered one with steak, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and basil. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but WOW. The flavors were layered and balanced, every ingredient complementing the next. We also ordered the Margherita, and it was everything a classic pizza should be, light, fluffy dough, the perfect sauce-to-cheese ratio, and fresh basil that tied it all together. And the crust? I never eat my crust, but here I did. Every. Single. Bite.
We finished the night with tiramisu, and it was the perfect ending, creamy, rich, and just sweet enough.
Finding a place like this after a year of searching honestly made me so happy. It’s not just good pizza, it’s an experience. If you love delicious food, beautiful spaces, and a warm, intentional atmosphere, 14-54 is an...
