つくば駅界隈には飲食店が以外にもあまり多くなく、駅から少し歩いたところにカフェやレストランが点在する。このカフェもその1つで、広々とした店内であることから多くの利用者が集まり、休日には入店のための列が必ず出来る程である。 居心地のいい空間となっているがために、近隣の大学の学生や研究機関の従業員の勉強や討論に利用されることが多く、客の回転は良くない。同時に討論に花開いているため、静かにひと時を過ごす上ではあまり適さないかもしれない。但しそれは日中で、夜間になると黙々と勉強する姿の方が目立つ。夜間の利用であれば比較的静かに過ごせるかもしれない。 このカフェの特徴は非常に凝ったデコレーションのパンケーキである。ボリュームもあり見た目も楽しめるが、やや甘さが強く後味を残しやすい。勿論、パスタやグラタンといったしっかりと食事をするメニューも豊富に揃っている。
