HACHINOJO — Restaurant in Utsunomiya

I visited for the first time last week. Hachinojo is a wine dining restaurant offering a wide selection of international wines from France, Italy, Chile, California, and more. Their menu is a fusion of European style dishes (mainly Italian, French, and Spanish).

I was very impressed by the huge variety of pizza on their menu. I had the prosciutto with arugula pizza and the three-cheese white-sauce shrimp pizza. The steak with garlic sauce and vegetables was also very good.

The desserts here are divine and worth getting-- even if you think you don't have any space for more! Their pudding is sweet, but unexpectedly light. The chocolate cake, served warm with vanilla ice cream, is rich and satisfying. The mille-feuille is flavorful and filled with a fluffy rum raisin cream. They also pair well with the coffee.

The restaurant is built with the local and famous Oya stone and the ambiance allows for a relaxing meal. The owner was friendly, funny, and did his best to speak to me in English. クリスマスイブにディナーでいきました。予約時にクリスマスコースのみとの説明ありでした。 料理は文句なしに美味しかったのですが、ウェイターの接客が酷かったです。食べ方や食材などの説明もなく料理を置かれ、パンに至ってはお代わり自由という説明もなく無言で置かれる始末。 さすがに気分が悪くなり、そのウェイターに説明を求めましたが通じませんでした。すぐに支配人のような方がいらして、「何かありましたか」と聞かれたので事情を説明し、その後の接客はこの方にしていただきました。コースも一択しかないのであれば、お品書きの紙を置いてけばいいのにと思いました。どんな料理が出るかもわからなければ、ウリにされているワインも選びようがないと思います。 忙しい日でホールが回っていなかった印象ですが、だからこそお品書きを置いておくなどしておけばいいのになーと思い残念です。 あとは、店の広さと駐車場の数があっていないと思います。店のそばに路駐が多く、いい印象は持てませんでした。 酷いサービスだったけどサービス料はしっかりとられていました。 ここの半分の価格で美味しい料理と素敵な接客をする店は他にもあるので、あえてここじゃないとだめということはないかなと思います。 料理は文句無しで美味しいので☆３つ。 初めてのデートでコレだったら結構...
