Yeahhh, the gyoza is good but maybe a little less than what I expected. But, I can’t hate. They are a historic restaurant that has become very popular, and they probably never changed their recipe or methods. Still definitely worth a try!
Process🚶🏽♂️ When you arrive there will most likely be a wait. Grab a ticket at the ticket dispensing machine. You may register your phone number if you like as well. Or wait in the designated waiting area until they call your number to line up.
If you register your phone number, you can go and walk around, maybe go shopping, whatever. When they call. Don’t be in too much of a hurry as they anticipate a bit of a wait until you arrive. You will most likely wait a little bit longer when you get back to the shop in the designated waiting area. Then they will call your number to actually line up in front of the store. This is generally how it works.
焼き餃子Pan-fried gyoza 🥟 The wrapping is pretty firm, and the filling is minimal. It tasted good though!
水餃子 Boiled gyoza 🥟 These tasted better than I expected actually! It is recommended to add the soy sauce, vinegar and chili oil into the bowl and eat it. You can also dip it into your sauce as well. I ended up doing both 😆 the taste is good! I wish there was more filling.
Remember, beer and rice go well with gyoza! 🍻 🥟 🍚 the perfect combo 😋 very popular and, they are a...

We ordered all three types of gyozas on the menu, and they were all amazing! The pastry was quite thin, but they didn’t burst and held the filling very well for all three kinds of gyoza. The filling was packed with minced pork and vegetables. Very flavorful and was juicy. Amazing price for value too, it cost us less than ¥1000 for one set (which comes with rice).
Just a note about queuing up - I know this restaurant is probably a pro at handling crowds as they have this very organized queueing system (get a ticket from the machine and wait in the designated waiting area until your number is called), but still, be prepared to line up. The line goes fairly quickly, but as I said, I queued for 50 minutes at 5pm.
But overall - a great place for gyoza! I think it was a great experience to have when you’re at...

I had the yakigyoza (potstickers) and suigyoza (dumplings). The yakigyoza was pan-fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The gyoza skin for the suigyoza was thinner than i expected, but it was good money.
It was definitely worth the wait.
