I had an amazing time at たこ壺! I ordered an octopus and roast pork okonomiyaki which turned out outstanding. The octopus portion was very generous and delicious! 🤤🥢

I’ve had a lot of tasty okonomiyaki in my life but what made this experience unforgettable was the delightful hospitality and lively discussion with chef and his regulars about all kinds of topics (he is from Nobesawa near Ginzan onsen!). The service was friendly, attentive, and quite humorous too! It was wonderful to be part of their conversations, and I found myself there until right about closing time. 🏯♨️🚞

Wonderful little joint that the Mrs found on Google. While not the friendliest for little children like my 14-month old (no baby seats), it was more than made up for by the chef’s amazing hospitality and attentiveness. We could manage well having my young toddler seated with us on the bench while we fed him, and details like a child’s bowl and a fork were provided kindly by the owner. My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner during our time in Yamagata. Their okonomiyaki, takoyaki and yakisoba are delicious.
