Real Indian Tandoori and Curry made by real Indians. It is probably our favourite restaurant in Yamaguchi or at least our to-go place when we want a take out meal on birthdays and other celebrations. The children have the spiciness removed ("amakuchi") my Japanese wife the standard strength ("ichi-bai") but I have 20 times ("nijuu-bai") standard spiciness and I think that a chef said Indian spiciness would be 40 times standard. The nan-bread which comes in flavours, such as garlic and dried fruit, is big and delicious. Plain nan is called "sada nan". If you phone in it takes them about 20 minutes to make it, which is about how long it takes to walk from a Yuda hotel, with the last 100m being uphill. There is a view of the bipass road. They speak some adequate-to-order English, if you speak slowly since the Indian staff speak Englsh only when they first arrive. They sell ready-made, microwavable "retort" curry, and Indian curry spicies in aluminium sachets. They serve draft beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They have a point card system that results in a 500 yen discount every third or so time we go, taking the price from about 5500 yen to 5000 yen for four.
