It was raining during our stay so we could not see Mt Fuji. If I knew the weather is so bad, I would not have went a long way to this place because you have absolutely nothing to do in the rain.

Reception area is only a small window so that you have to hold an umbrella out of the window. This is not a good first impression. The receptionist knows a bit English that is good.

You need to hold your heavy luggage to the tent (and back when you leave) because the road is full of small stones that would destroy the wheels. I did not border to ask for a cart as I see no such thing there.

The sleeping tent and the dinning area is nearby but not connected and you need to hold your umbrella and your shoes to go between them because no shoes are allowed in both area. When both hands occupied, how can I open the door?

The dinner was good but the BBQ was indoor and you can only enjoy the food in a smoky room. The smoke was not as bad as expected though.

The worst part is the sleeping tent. I can smell something like exhaust gas from gasoline the whole night that I did not know where it came from. Finally I figured out in the morning that it should be the smell of PVC that is the material of the tent itself. It was like smelling a beach ball the whole night. It may be only me who feeling uncomfortable with this smell. Fortunately I only have to stay there for one night.

Expensive lesson learnt. Next time I plan on this kind of trip, I would definitely check whether I can refund for bad weather and check the weather before starting the trip. Bad weather makes everything...

A fantastic glamping facility with a direct view of Mount Fuji. I feel like this was the perfect balance between luxury and being close to nature.

To begin with, the tent was spacious yet comfortable with a cozy interior design. A couple feet away was the dining area where breakfast and dinner was brought right to you. (You have an option to include food or bring your own as they have a bbq and fire pit)

At night we bought mini fireworks from a local convenient store and had a great time! The staff are super generous and provide wood and fire starters for us to use (was able to make some delicious s’mores to finish the night).

What also made this glamping experience so special was the outdoor sauna that you can book for 100 minutes. You can jump between the sauna and the cool bath for a lovely detox 🥰

Am 100% planning on coming back here again! What makes it even better is that you can bring your...

What really made this glamping experience so memorable for me was the spectacular view of Mount Fuji I had from the tent.

The tent was easily large enough to fit 4 beds along with a small sofa. I usually have an issue sleeping at hotels due to the poor quality mattresses but I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the beds were. The decor of the tent was charming and cosy.

In the evening they served a variety of local delicacies which we were able to bbq ourselves. The portions were extremely generous and of very high quality.

Also easy access to get here from Tokyo (Shinjyuku station) by bus. Such an excellent experience that I’d...

First and great glamping experience. Given the nice weather in early Dec, 2024, we enjoyed the great Mt Fuji view at TOTONOI. The staff was super nice. We were welcomed with roasted marshmallow at the camp fire and hot apple tea. It was an unexpected highlight and details of the experience especially in the cold weather. The food provided for BBQ was good. Kids had fun playing with firework after dinner. It was a little inconvenient to have the restroom separated from the tent. But with the good food, good view and other good experience, I am recommending TOTONIO to all my friends traveling with kids to there.
