Not sure what the other reviewer was getting at when they said it was the “driest pulled pork he’s ever eaten”, our sandwich was full of delicious au jus and came with a side of homemade honey mustard (do not skip on the honey mustard!!)

My husband and I have been in Japan for a little over a year now. We’ve made a tradition to try burgers or pizzas in every city we visit, just for fun (and because we love food)

If you’re from the US and are missing the classic Smashburger, Five Guys, In n Out, etc. THIS place will satisfy your craving and then some.

Friendly staff, great “local bar” atmosphere, and amazing food. Also.. they had Sunny Little Thing, which is one of my favorite beers ☺️.

Portion sizes are what you expect in Japan. I find it hard to complain about that, when literally everywhere else in this country offers similar sizes for the price when eating western food. After a day of skiing, we were full from a double cheeseburger and a large order of waffle fries to split.

Probably the best wings and cheeseburger I’ve had in my life. We are here twice during our 2 day stay. the owner and his wife were amazing, had best selection of beers too, the owner is from Minnesota speaks perfect English but has lived here for 20 years so he speaks perfect Japanese, they took great care of our 16 month old baby while we ate which was so kind. Everything in this restaurant is local including the bun of the burger so everything was so delicious! The wife of this shop actually gave us a ride to our next destination when we missed our train station and it was a 30 minute drive so that should tell you how sweet they are. This was hands down our favorite experience in Yamanochi was meeting this lovely couple that own the restaurant sharing a lot of laughs and getting a ride to our next stop and having one of the best burgers and wings of my life! Which my husband and I ordered 2 burgers each and 2 wings each because it was so good. Highly recommend using their secret sauce that is all...

Wish I could give 6 stars. This place should be a draw for Americans looking for home cooking, and anyone else hungry for great (somewhat randomly located) BBQ and brews. FOOD - We had the smash burgers, waffle fries, and pulled pork tacos and they were all top notch. The smash burgers were perfectly crispy, with insanely good locally sourced buns. The waffle fries were crispy and well seasoned. The pulled pork was tender and succulent. The meal came with a delicious assortment of sauces for dipping and dunking. SERVICE - Archie and his family were super cool. He not only gave us great service, but sat down with us and had a beer and great conversation. Really a great BBQ dinning experience that we were not planning on having while on vacation in Japan, but are so glad we did....
