YaなGi カフェ — Restaurant in Yawatahama

八幡浜市の昭和通り沿いに佇む小さな喫茶店です。古き良き時代の落ち着いた雰囲気を漂わせる内装です。近隣住民の憩いの場となっていますが、旅行者が利用してもそれ程高い敷居は感じませんでした。利用客は思い思いに過ごしており、喫茶店のマスターもそれを察してか客に対し必要以上に関与はせず、適度な距離感で接客しているように見受けられます。利用が多い時間帯は午前に集中するため午後はそれほど利用する人はいません。 給仕される料理やドリンクも、決してぞんざいには扱わず丁寧に拵えられています。とりわけこの喫茶店ならではの味付け、というものはありませんが、シンプルな気取らない盛り付けは、見た目にも安心感を与えてくれます。

It's a small cafe located along Showa Street in Yawatahama City. The interior exudes the calm atmosphere of the good old days. It has become a place of relaxation for the residents of the neighborhood, but I didn't feel the threshold was too high even for tourists. Customers spend their time at their leisure, and the master of the cafe seems to be aware of this and does not get involved with customers more than necessary, serving them with a moderate sense of distance. The most popular time of the day is in the morning, so there are not many people in the afternoon. The dishes and drinks served here are carefully prepared and never carelessly served. There is no particular flavor unique to this cafe, but the simple, unpretentious presentation gives you a calm feeling...
