Jiro Sushi — Restaurant in Yokohama

Don’t meet your Jiros.

I got the opportunity to dine at Jiro sushi by the Mandarin Oriental concierge services. This is a very famous restaurant, where the original patriarch made sushi that was delicious by putting in time and love. Now the oldest son runs the restaurant. I was expecting in a wonderful experience, but I could not have a worst time. I would think if you’re spending $400 you would be treated nicely. The employees did not talk. Ran away, so just prepare the food. I was Was warned that the meals only 30 minute. I didn’t believe it because how do you eat 18 pieces of sushi that quickly. The son of Jiro worked in a militant manner making the sushi as fast as he can and the staff forcing you to eat as soon as you put on your plate. I felt like an animal eating and being forced fed. At one point they told me to stop talking to my neighbor because of COVID-19, which is a lie and was extremely rude and and off putting. I started ordering sake because of how awkward it was, and I wanted to get drunk. I bought three bottles, and a towards towards the end of the service they started to yell at me to finish. They serve dessert, which was just melon so super lame. I was disgusted by the son/chef. I’ve never had an experience like this before. I can’t believe that a restaurant this famous betrayed his customers like this. I have no idea what it was like when the patriarch from the restaurant, but I can say that the som is riding the coat tales of his father using the fame to make money off people without giving good service. After the meal, I went to the bathroom to throw up, because I thought so disgusted with how the eating white. How how disappointing after 10 years of wanting to go to have this bad experience. There’s so many good restaurant in JAPAN and sushi restaurants that are equivalent, that I would suggest going anywhere else, my dear. Jiro sushi is an abusive nasty place with mediocre sushi that you can get in other places. There was no loved the food and honestly at the fishmarket. I had better sushi.
