Hmmmmmm. I've been to Marina Piccola a few times now. I may go back in a pinch, but I think the prices are a bit high for the quality and amount of food being served.
The pizza is really quite good, just way, way too small and too thin, even by Japanese food size standards. Mashed potatoes come with a big dab of mayonnaise in the middle (huh??). Pastas are nice, but seriously, I can do that at home. Wine is overpriced and not that great. The last time I ordered fried potatoes, they had obviously been cooked in the same oil used for the fish. They literally tasted more of fish than potatoes. Whether that's from laziness or ignorance, it's not good practice.
On the plus side (I guess?), this restaurant seems to attract a slightly more 'upscale' demographic, or maybe just people with more money than sense. Clearly, someone is picking up on what Marina Piccola is putting down, but I'm hoping...

The seasoning in the fries are excellent as well as the chicken. I live cumin.
The most frequently requested menu items are the potato wedges, chicken, grilled leeks, deep fried whole onions, and lamb shanks.
The LASAGNA is also ordered quite a bit too. If you want a meaty firm lasagna with very little tomato and cheese then get it here. I liked the meatiness but portions size is too small for the price.
Liver pate is brûlée on top so it’s sweet and works well with the liver.
