A few steps beyond the shopping district that surrounds Tsunashima you will find this fabulous little curry shop called PointWeather. They serve four different curries each day; on the day I visited, they were serving a pork vindaloo, a keema, a fish, and a shrimp curry. The keema curry was SENSATIONAL!! In addition to the shredded meat, it was chocked full a diced mushrooms, cloves, anise, and various other spices, so flavorful. Loved it. My wife ordered the vindaloo; it was tangy and contained large chunks of pork, zucchini, and egg plant. It lacked the flavor explosion of the keema but it was still quite good. In addition to the main curry, each entree came with a salad, a dal, a shredded coconut and cabbage dish, another curry consisting of daikon and pumpkin, avial-a thick stew made from vegetables—and lastly, three different types of pickles. Along with the curry options, PointWeather also offers a number of cakes and specialty drinks—coffees, juices, chais, and sodas. I strongly recommend the chai!! All in all, PointWeather is a must visit if you are in the area and/or if you are a fan of curry, it’s worth the...

Point Weather is 1 of 5 top restaurants in all of Tsunashima, even Kohoku-ku (District). The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is homie and inviting and the staff are always flawless in their customer service. Furthermore, I was pleased to learn that the super talented chef also speaks amazing English. Point Weather is my “go to” restaurant because it’s healthy too. The variety of offerings in one sitting make it a must to visit if you are in the region.

Tip: if you do go, make sure to allow time because there are only 10-15 seats (???) so you don’t want to be disappointed if there is no space when you...
