Possibly the BEST falafel EVER! We were looking for a nice place to have Saturday dinner with friends and discovered Falafel Shop Yaam. Located a very short walk from Shiori Station, this corner gem serves some of the best food that I've eaten in Japan. Fresh, home made ingredients served by very hospitable hosts make this a place to go whether you're plant based or not. The homemade potato chips have a light, crisp to it with the perfect amount of salt. Falafel was moist and dense with flavor inside a crunchy exterior. Harissa sauce was like a “sir Kensington Mayo,” thousand island type sauce, which was delightful.
My only criticism is have bigger portions because I was not full after one wrap with chips. Americans like bigger portions so maybe keep that in mind for the future.

We ordered two falafel plates and two pitas. Then ordered the gyoza, tofu karage, and cauliflower tabbouleh. Everything was superb, fresh, homemade, and delicious!! Even the karage sauce was made with freshly pickled mustard seeds and the charcoal pita was made and baked fresh this morning. Soft and flavorful Perfection! We will be back...
