!!! I do not reccomend this place for first time foreigners going to sushigo !!!
Salmon was delicious, fresh, and tender. Its my favorite place next to the base to get sushi, booths can fit 6 teens or 4 adults, still, great for groups.
Great price for quality of fish
~ there's no little toy for eating 15 plates like at other places 💔.
Also, each table is color coded, and since there's no separate go round or sushi belt for specific orders, you have to wait as it goes around the regular carousel with other orders AND sushi you can pick off. It gets confusing.
This means people can take your order, you'll have to check at the end if you actually got everything you're being charged for.
Another unique quality is that its all machine ran. English available for check in/out and menu. So there's little to no staff interaction and I guess that helps with Covid Concerns.
So for being so close to the base, if you're not familiar I wouldnt risk it, go to a place with a separate belt to...
Read moreSushiro was really amazing. It's my first time being in Japan so naturally I had to go find sushi places. I know conveyor belt places usually sacrifice quality for quantity but for this place that doesn't seem to be the case. Everything was so delicious and fresh. They also had a promotion for genshin impact (the video game) at the moment which was surprising to get some items from them.
If your friend or family doesn't like the thought of raw fish, there's other options to choose from like eel, beef, crab, shrimp, egg and other fried things.
I tried a different conveyor a few days back and that place wasn't the best but this place really seems to great quality. Not to mention not expensive. All of the dishes I had in total (hence the last photo of empty plates) were less than 30$ usd. Back in the US I would've gotten 2 specialty rolls at best for 30$.
I'm definitely coming here again. It's also not that bad of a distance from the naval base too, just a 6 minute walk from...
Read moreGreat 100-yen (for most items) sushi go round that is by Aeon mall (formerly Daei mall) with adequate vehicle and bicycle parking, and easy walking distance from Yokosuka Naval Base. The opening of this Sushi-Ro location alleviates the need to go all the way to Uraga to enjoy decent 100-yen sushi. For more pricier items like ootoro (fatty tuna) you won't pay more than 280 yen (roughly $2.80) versus the $4 (on the cheap end) you'll pay in the U.S., and the quality is better. The electronic menu displays in both English and kanji, making it easy to get the items you want, and the staff is willing to show you how to work the touchscreen if you're not sure on how to order. Other items available other than sushi include soups such as ramen and udon, side dishes like fries, tempura, or karage (fried chicken), and differnent desserts. As others have already stated, it is definitely worth the wait if it you go...
